LUXTON Aesthetics (LA) was established in 2007 by Rebecca Luxton, a Consultant Nurse who specialises in Plastic Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Aesthetics. Rebecca has been a qualified nurse for 12 years and has over 10 years experience within aesthetics. Despite being taught aesthetics by numerous plastic surgeons, She then went on to gain her aesthetic qualifications independently. In 2007, she commenced and self-funded the Independent Prescriber course at Masters level, and completed it alongside her full time role as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Plastic Surgery and Tissue Viability. Rebecca also completed a Minor Surgery course, from which she developed skills such as suturing, and leision, cyst and mole removal.
Luxton Aesthetics was first established with the aim of providing high quality, affordable aesthetics treatments to the population of Kent. The company has since expanded and now operates from clinics within Essex and London also. Treatments provided include Botox, dermal fillers, scar management, thread vein removal, and skin tag removal.
What makes LA different to that of its competitors?
Due to an important change in government legislation, medical procedures, such as administering Botox, are now ONLY legal when performed by a practitioner with prescribing qualifications, ie. a doctor and Nurse Independent Prescriber. There are therefore companies being forced to close and discontinue treatment. At LA, we have ALWAYS ensured we are fully compliant and qualified, ready for new legislation even before its been put in place.
All treatments are carried out by highly qualified practitioners, specialised in the field of aesthetics and plastic surgery:
Rebecca Luxton CNS, RGN, IP, BSc (Hons), DipHe Plast., first specialised in plastic surgery 10 years ago within the NHS at St. Andrews Centre, Broomfield Hospital. From there she gained a senior staff nurse role at Springfield Hospital, working with a number of surgeons including the well known Consultant Plastic Surgeon, Mr James Frame. Rebecca then started the role of Lead Nurse within a clinic in Harley Street, before being offered the position of Clinical Nurse Specialist at The Princess Grace Hospital, working for 5 well renowned Consultant Plastic Surgeons who formed London Plastic Surgery Associates. In 2010, she put her managerial skills to task in setting up and establishing a brand new Day Surgery & Theatre Unit in Essex. Following the successful commissioning and opening of the unit, she continued to work shifts at Broomfield Hospital, as well as taking on a Consultant Nurse post in Chelsea. Rebecca now commits full time to her business, working from 7 clinics as well as providing home visits on request.
LA obtains all clients through word of mouth referrals. When looking into an aesthetic procedure, it is always worth getting a recommendation from someone who has already had, and is satisfied with, the treatment.
LA guarantees the use of top of the range, high end products, and therefore uses the best botulinum toxin and dermal fillers on the market.
All treatments are carried out in a professional, clean, clinical environment. LA holds contracts with waste disposal companies to ensure all waste and sharps are disposed of correctly. All local, national, and NMC guidelines and policies are adhered to, ensuring the clients best interests are met. Health and safety within such practice is paramount.
LA tries to keep the costs for the client to a minimal, hence the incredibly competitive prices offered. However, one has to understand that if the best quality products are used, the price has to cover this.
LA offers promotions and discounts throughout the year. Just ask.
